Prognosis of the replanted teeth after the extra-oral endodontic treatment

Abstract

|
Of the 136 teeth which had been examined for over 2 years(2-12.7 years; 6.7¡¾4.3 years) following the replantatin after the extra-oral endodontic treatmet[Intentional Replantation], 120 teeth(88.2%) survived with good function, but 16
teeth(11.8%)
were
extracted.
By the clinical and roentgenologic examination; 78 teeth(57.4%) showed successful peridontal healing without root resorption, 14 teeth(10.3%) followed by some degree of transient root resorption without any clinical discomfortness, but 7
teeth(5.1%) in
progressive root resorption. 21 teeth(15.4%) were grouped as undetermined status due to some degree of mobility or uncertain root resorption.
